apocolypse

I awoke this morning
restless
after dreams of local apocolypse
natural disaster
or man made
but disaster
locked in my apartment
filling every container available with water
my unconcious mind worked it's way through
all the disaster training I recieved as a young child
rationing food
using a bucket for a toilet on the patio
people trying to break in
searching for a gun
waiting for help that will not come

I think what's going on in Louisiana
has me more disturbed
than I can say
