What's it all about?
I've been thinking about what this journal should be about, since, with so many of these social-networking sites, I've got blogs spread all over the place now. I'd like this to be a public rather than friends-only journal; I have a friends-only personal blog on Yahoo, and none of my friends ever comments on it or updates theirs, so I can only assume that it's not being read. So I won't bother boring you here with all my aches and pains and misadventures. While I'm a real news junkie, I hate getting into political disputes, especially with friends, so I'll try to avoid politics too. Let me just say for the record, I didn't vote for him (either time)! In fact, lately the real news (when you can find any) is so depressing the only way I can bear to hear it without wanting to kill myself is filtered through The Daily Show.
That's why I'll probably mostly be talking about entertainment (books, movies, TV, music, bits of poetry or song lyrics that I like), with maybe a few current issues I feel strongly about or major life events thrown in, whilst keeping the MySpace blog for those all-about-me quizzes and surveys. I hope maybe some of you will comment once in a while so I'll know I'm not just talking to myself!
