The weekend...and exciting news!
It's been a great weekend for the mostpart!
Friday night was awesome. Ben came down after I got back from tutoring. We had dinner at the Thai restaurant in New London (yum! I love that place!. Then we went to the acapella concert, which was enjoyable-I always love the acapella concerts! Then we just hung out for the rest of the night, just talking and laughing a lot and having a really nice time together. And we talked about it and decided to make things official...so, yeah, he's my boyfriend now! I'm very happy about how everything has turned out! :) The distance thing might be kind of a challenge, but I say that when you find someone who you seem to connect with so much and who seems so wonderful, you can't just let it go. But yeah...it's really exciting! :)
Saturday I got some yummie pumpkin squares at the Harvestfest picnic! yay! I did a little work, and also worked at Burdick's booth. We were doing a raffle. We didn't end up making too much of a profit, but oh well. We tried! but I was so cold standing out there at our booth. It's gotten so COOOOLD. I want summer back, lol.
Saturday for dinner, I went out with Cassie, Eric, Julia, and Cassie's friends from home, Ann and Adrienne. We actually went to the same restaurant I went to the night before :P But I could never ever get sick of Thai or Indian food! And I almost ordered Japanese, but ultimately decided on Thai again :P It was so yummy! We had a nice dinner, and then we took a walk to Mugz. I was so excited because they still had ice cream (I think they get rid of their ice cream in the winter). I was craving ice cream a lot because I hadn't had it for a few days :P Anyway, I ordered a large because it only cost 50 cents more and it was HUGE. but of course I finished it, hehe. I got some of the others to get ice cream with me too, hehe. So we had our ice cream and/or coffee and hung out some more. It was fun! Ann and Adrienne were very friendly and nice and seemed very cool :)
Later on in the night, we went to Mohegan Sun. Where I got carded!! How rude! I never got carded there before! Oh well, better I got carded this time than the time I went when I wasn't 21 :P At the casino, a few people got drinks but I wasn't in the mood. We all did a little gambling. I ended up managing to break even! I started with 10 and ended with 10! I was kinda being cheap last night, hehe. But it was fun. We also walked around a little and then some people got food but I wasn't hungry. Then I got really tired but we went home so that was good!
Today my parents came to go to Mystic Aquarium and use my free passes that I had won at the Labor Day party! It was pretty fun, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate at all. It was freezing and raining a lot. I was disappointed that we couldn't enjoy the outdoor exhibits, but my parents (esp my dad) seemed to enjoy our time there nonetheless. I think it was good overall. I hope I at least brightened up one of their days a little. I try so hard...I try. I never know how to make them happier. *sighs*
So it's been a good weekend aside from rain and some stressful situations that I've had to deal with that I do not care to write about here. I'm continuing to feel pretty happy lately :)
Except I seriously can't do homework anymore!!! Everything else that I want to do just seems to much more appealing and important!! I hope I don't fail out of here this semester :P LOL, like I could manage that. I dunno. I am just sick of it. Somehow I'll get by :P
In other news: Bush's approval rating with the elderly is slipping! Yay!
I need to give my new plant a name...any ideas?!
It's daylight savings next weekend! I can't believe it's already here...time is going by tooooooo fast!!!
