Hey, I know I haven't been on her since, you know, mid-April. Life kind of took me by the throat and ran off. Now, since things are slowing down for me, I'm trying to get a grip on not neglecting my friends. Here's the cliff-notes of what's been shaking.

My current site manager is a former EMT. He said he's seen some strange things in his day. It's pretty incredible the sorts of..."situations" folks find themselves in. No doubt you've seen your fair share of bizarre predicaments, though getting to take selfies with a Zelda cosplayer as you unwrench her foot from an HVAC unit is pretty boss. If you're at liberty to do so, I'd love to see those pics. xDDD
Sign must be in the phones right now as my brother dropped his iPhone 6S a couple weeks back and cracked the screen. (He has NEVER clunked his cell before. EVER.) Cost him $80 bucks to get the glass repaired, which was a smidge painful, but he's pretty happy overall with the results. My phone's an old Motorola that I got on sale years ago for $40 dollars. It's a good device. Not a "top-of-the-line" model like most folks use, but more than sufficient for chatting on Hangouts and playing games. Still got a gig of space or so left on it too.
Playing Wind Waker is a must. Twilight Princess you can hold off on. (Indefinitely if it comes to it.) TP is, in my opinion, one of the weaker Zeldas. It has virtually no bearing on...any of the other Zeldas (coming in at the end of the Child Timeline), not to mention the story of Link, Zelda, and Ganon (you know, the thing you play Zelda games FOR) is barely there. The wolf mechanics suck, the graphics look like piss (or poo, given "vomit brown" is the predominate color choice for most of the overworld/town zones), and the primary antagonist an absolute joke. Of course, it's always better to play something for yourself to make up your own mind. But having played the vast majority of the games released, TP falls pretty flat. Skyward Sword is incredible (and being the FIRST Zelda, it's actually SUPER CRITICAL to understanding what happens in every subsequent game in the universe), and though it's not technically canon (though I argue it is), Hyrule Warriors is basically everything awesome about every Zelda ever made mashed together into one singular, Dynasty Warriors-styled, mind-blowing experience. You will NOT be disappointed with that one.
And yes, if buying a console this gen, the Switch is the way to go. It has the most diversity of the "Big 3," not to mention Nintendo is REALLY cranking out the ports, so a LOT of older titles are available as "definitive remasters" with tons of cool features and bonus crap. Plus, they just released an "updated" Switch model with longer battery life, so any Switch you buy going forward is going to be better than the ones early adopters (like me) bought day one.
Take care of yourself. And your lungs. I absolutely refuse to tolerate anyone being sick over the Thanksgiving/Christmas season. You guys have to all feel well to enjoy the festivities and listen to my fanraging over the dumpster truck of suck sequel that is Maleficent II. *blinks cutely*
