Sapphire and Steel is on Youtube, the episodes edited together into complete stories, and for some reason today I found myself watching "Assignment 4" and "Assignment 5" (Sapphire and Steel gives no spoilers when it comes to titles.) Andrew's recent spate of Bradbury reading has reminded me of how often characters in his 1950s stories bring up "mass hysteria/neurosis/delusion/psychosis" as the go-to explanation for whatever weird thing is happening. Had a SFnal story idea on the way home, and began typing after supper. Think I have a bit more than the skeleton of a 2000-2500-word story. Working title, "Arthouse."
