Sometimes the tech gods are angered and there's nothing you can do.
So. Where has my laptop been all weekend? On my dad's desk, as he tries to transfer me to a new Macbook Pro. Apparently, the discdrive tried to chew through an installer disc, and we were suitably worried. IMO, there's a time to tell dear Dad you really really need to work on your gay threesome graphic art, and this weekend wasn't it. I beg your forebearance.
Nonetheless, I have 7 icons done. As of this post, there are 22 posters on the last post totaling 78 comments including my own. I've stocked up on a whack of new tutorials and resources, and am chomping at the bit to continue work on this project. I am so stoked, guys. I loved the discussion, and I got a lot of great ideas. I am continually stunned that there's so much rally behind K/V and F/K/V considering we had a freakin' *war* over it, and *it doesn't exist*. It's more than something from nothing, it's something amazing and romantic and magical created out of nothing but our imaginations. Go us.
I can't believe I just spoke against one of my favourite fic-writers. Seriously, I love her stuff. Adore it. I'm frequently in awe of her. But she mocked my home town and it angered me and I....called her on it. I have to put my head between my knees. Oh god.
