I have a new bedframe. It has drawers underneath it. fennel spent about two months helping me put it together last night. Tomorrow, I'll have a new mattress to go on top. Do you know how much I can't wait? ALL THE MUCH, that's how much much.

I would just like to give thanks in public that the total basement overhaul that we did, digging trenches and drains and installing a (new) sump and all kinds of other fun stuff, seems to have kept our basement bedroom dry through all of this crazy flooding. The contractor might have taken more than a year to do it, but now that it's done, it seems ( Read more... )

(1) I installed junction boxes and light fixtures last night! Now our basement bathroom doesn't have bare bulbs dangling out of holes in the walls anymore. I'm very pleased. Plus, now I have a drywall saw.
