bad, good, & ugly
“the heart does heal and you will love again. and when you do, you’ll deny that you’ve ever loved like this before.” - i have to repeat this to myself because tonight i watched dmitry attempt “pop.” & i no longer want him to love me with his loins.

allison & ivan were damn good, though. that routine seriously made tears well up in my eyes! oh my god the choreography was great. & they danced together so well.

dan karaty’s choreography, i see, however, SUCKS. ew. how’d he get the SYTYCD gig??

tomorrow the pussycat dolls are performing “buttons” on so you think you can dance? & I AM SO SKIPPING OUT ON BARHOPPING FOR IT.

movies
recently i saw pirates of the caribbean ii & scarface. both were entertaining in their own rights. despite what the critics say i loved johnny in pirates & i thought it did what it was supposed to as a fantasy adventure. true, though, it didn’t surpass any expectations. i loved scarface, not to the point that i’m itching to have it in my DVD collection, but enough to really build an appreciation for oliver stone. i have to admit that after screenwriting in the fall, i’ve been watching big name movies for their scripts & critiquing them from an angle i never paid attention to before. of course al pacino was fucking awesome in scarface, but i really think the script was amazing. it made a gangster story epic.

progress
it’s almost frightening me - how much i am loving seattle, that is. this city has so much to offer! nephtalin drove ivory & me through fremont & queen anne after hawai’ian food & tapioca at the u district. [i preferred the area much more in that light than i did barhopping the night before.] seeing a hippie version of fremont was a trip & i simply want to go back. there’s a fremont bridge that made me think of...well, my twin brother named bridge. who is, incidentally, from fremont. like myself. yes.

nephtalin, who is also a bay area native [from san francisco], told me that i could very easily be from here. even debbie says so. it’s scary, but i think they’re right! =O maybe the seasonal changes in the winter & fall wouldn’t be so bad - they’d give more of an excuse to actually go out shopping & get clothes that cater to non-mild climate. O.o

no money
i’m living on leftovers & am frustrated that my measly check has not come through yet. the nordstrom half yearly sale is this weekend & mayka wants to get herself a new pair of plain jane jeans. my default pair, which took forever to find with amaya five years ago, has a ridiculously conspicuous hole at the crotch. i simply can’t have that. i’m still not a jeans person but default jeans truly are essential to the everyday wardrobe. i want to find the perfect pair of indigo-dyed & this is the weekend to find it. i just really want my check first. >:O

i’ll probably have my dreams & wishes smashed to smithereens, though, by being brutally reminded of how my big asian ass doesn’t fit slim white girl jeans.

[-] on a side note, bridge’s wallet got stolen while he left it in his car during his jog yesterday! :( watch out, USC-ites!

[+] i also applied for two jobs at apple today. go internet. & i probably won’t get them. :(

other material wishes: sex & the city - the complete DVD set, a subscription to movmnt magazine, yeah, i said it, & the devil wears prada

ma-an, money...
