[Though the Lunar Cry meant having to shift priorities for a little while, there are certain matters that Wakka has decided absolutely must be taken care of before any more time goes by. Mainly that he has to get the hell out of Tidus' house, because he's tired of having to try to beat Onion Knight to the best pieces of toast in the morning, and

[And Lu was sick of having to hear them argue about toast every morning. It could only go so far before it started wearing on her eternal patience. And, she also felt that Tidus and Yuna should have their own place. They were old enough now, and as much as she was worried, it was better for them to figure things out on their own.

So, she humored Wakka, taking the walk with him after breakfast. Vidina had been put back to sleep after breakfast, considering he had been up most of the night before for some reason.]

A surprise? Wakka... [An eyebrow raised. But, she closed her eyes anyway.]

[He waved a hand in front of her eyes just to be sure that they were shut tightly, grinning from ear-to-ear as he placed his other hand against the small of her back and began to steer her forward and to the right. After several moments, he paused long enough to open a door, which he then gingerly ushered her through. He stepped away from her to draw the curtains back, letting light into the circular room they now stood in, and turned back to her expectantly.]

Alright. You can open them.

[To say Lulu was hesitant was an understatement. She trusted her husband, she really did... but she just wasn't too fond of surprises.

Without protesting, she let him lead her wherever he wanted to lead her. It had to be important if he was going through all of this. She left her eyes closed for a few moment in case he forgot anything, and then opened them.

Shock was the first thing that registered, along with confusion. A house? Why were they...

She turned to him, wondering.]

Wakka?

We were talking about needing our own space, ya? [He laughed, rubbing at the back of his neck. He hated that his nervousness showed, but he was positive that this had been the right thing to do. The house was perfect. The perfect size, perfect location -- by the water, in one of the quieter parts of town -- he had been so sure that she would love it when he first found it. Why was he so nervous now?]

I bought this one before someone else got the chance.

[Shock and confusion turned to happiness when he started explaining what he had done. He had gone out on his own to find something for their family, so they could have their own space, to grow into the family they both wanted.

She was happy. Ecstatic even. While her face still showed that normal expression of calm content, her eyes sparkled.]

I love it.

[His smile grew more confident at that. Lulu was never very wordy, but that didn't mean he couldn't gauge just how she was feeling by what she did say. His face colored slightly as he inclined his head towards what appeared to be the kitchen.]

I'm glad. I'm grateful that Tidus and Yuna took us in, but they need their place to themselves, an' we do, too, ya? We've got our own family to take care of. [He paused.] Wanna take a look around?

I do.

[She agreed with everything he said too. The house had been getting crowded with all of them living together, along with Sir Jecht and Onion Knight living there now. She loved that he had taken this initiative.]

Show me around? We can decide where things can go.

[triplepenalty]

[He grinned, taking her arm with an almost childlike excitement as he steered her through to the kitchen and dining area.]

This way. It's not very big, but more than what we were used to in Besaid, ya? Going to have to get used to havin' more than just one room.

[She slid her arm through his, red eyes carefully taking in each detail of the kitchen and dining area.]

I'm sure we can manage.

[He smiles, turning his head to get a good look at her face as she sees the interior of the house for the first time. It's definitely going over well, and he feels his face grow a little warm as he leans a bit closer to her. Now or never.]

Hey. Lu?

[So far, she's really happy with everything. The place, even though small, is much bigger than what they're used to. She turns her head to look at him.]

Hm?

[triplepenalty]

[He hesitates briefly, and for a moment, it looks as though he's simply studying her face -- until he leans in to gently seal his lips over hers.]

[Lulu's eyes widen, mainly because she wasn't expecting him to kiss her. Even back home, he still seemed a bit nervous every time he leaned in to take a kiss.

But she was so happy for him to do so. Her eyes closed, a hand lifting to cup his cheek.]

[He smiled into the kiss, allowing it to linger a few moments longer before letting it break.]

... thought it was about time for that.

Nervous anymore?

[She knew he had to have been. He had admitted to her back home, after they had gotten married, that he had been so nervous the first time they had kissed. She was happy that she was able to experience that first kiss again with him.]

[He blushes, and it stands out very sharply against his dark skin.]

A little bit, still. But it's getting better.
