So Roger and I went and saw Rent tonight, opening night.
What can I say? It was a beautiful work of Musical goodness.
It has all but two of the original cast members, and in my opinion, from the clips of songs I listened to from the original cast to the movie cast, the two replacements were much needed. Rosario Dawson's voice is much sweeter than the former Mimi, and Tracie Thom's voice was much better than the former Joanne's.
So if people don't know what rent is about:
Very Loosely based on the opera "La Boheme"
Deals with Sexuality, Society, and HIV/AIDS in the late 80's.
Did I mention it was a great movie?
Yeah...
Did I mention I just finished downloading the movie soundtrack from iTunes?
Yeah...
In other news went shopping today, bought some new clothes. They're nice. I've bought a lot of clothing since I moved in with Roger... Sigh...
I have shit I never wear now, just like him, and I find clothes and I'm like "DAMN! I forgot I had that"
I must say that appearance wise I'm more comfortable with myself right now than I have ever been. I have only a couple of pimples on my face, my hair is trimmed neatly, and get lots of stares from girls now. Of course they're not my thing, but it's still nice to be admired. A couple of girls, and very attractive ones, left me their phone numbers at cracker barrel the other day. Hehe.
It's strange... I was like a loser in high school, and all popular attractive girls were like "Uh... John is lame"
Here though I'm mysterious, and stuff. It's amazing, I don't think I look that much different here, and I don't really act any different, it's just none of them know me.
Of course we all know I'm gay so what does it matter if girls are into me or not? Well the way I see it is... It's easy to land guys, we're all horny, and brainless, and we'll sleep with anything. It's especially easy to land gay old men. SO... I judge my attractiveness scale by how many attractive girls are interested in me. Hehe.
I'm being a little piggish right now right? I shall quit now.
Sometimes it's fun to be way too into yourself.
