We have officially graduated! Graduated from one doctor to another that is. On Friday we had our last doctor's appointment with our reproductive doctor and we are now just like any other pregnant couple....finally!
We had an ultrasound on Friday as well and everything is looking and sounding great! We were able to hear the heartbeat and it was absolutely amazing. I actually cried. After all this time and hard work...I think I'm entitled. I knew that babies heartbeats were faster than ours, but I never realized how much faster. That little Jelly Bean was measuring 166 beats per minute. Amazing for something that is only 12.5mm long. Since our last ultrasound the week before, the jelly has more than doubled in length too! We are right on schedule and the doctor is very happy with everything. Frankly, we are absolutely ecstatic.
I am overall feeling pretty good. I've been dealing with a bit of morning sickness, but it's not horrible. It's not fun either mind you, but from what I've heard from other people...it could be A LOT worse. I've also noticed that my clothing options are starting to dwindle. My pants are a little more snug than they used to be and although no one would ever notice it, I am starting to expand a little. I notice it because I know my body, but most people wouldn't see anything yet. I'm so excited and I may be crazy, but I can't wait to get a big belly!
Other than doctor and baby stuff, we are really getting into crunch time for my sister's graduation party. The actually graduation is Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (what a miserable weekend to travel, but I didn't pick the date) and the party is the following weekend. My mom got it in her head that she wants to make chocolate lollipops as party favors for over 100 guests. Great, that's a cute idea....until I was enlisted to help. So, we started but we have a very long way to go. Plus, we also have to make centerpieces. I have no clue what they are going to be yet, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.
