Happy Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! We don't really make a big deal out of Valentine's Day. We usually get each other something little and then go out to dinner. Sometimes we don't even go out, ordering in is just as good. The way I see it, it doesn't matter what we eat...as long as I didn't have to cook - it's all good. This year we are trying a new restaurant that opened a couple months ago that we haven't had the chance to get to yet. It's a seafood place, so that's fine with me. I didn't get my Valentine's present yet, but I got him a 4 lbs. tub of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Like I said, we don't go crazy. He loves those things, so I thought it would be a good present. Although we don't make a big deal out of the day, we do like the fact that it kind of forces us to put aside everything else and spend a nice evening together. Sometimes we get so caught up with work and everything else that's going on, we don't take a whole lot of time for ourselves...even if it is only one night.
Now that I think about it, I won't have to cook 3 nights this week. Last night I had an eye doctor appointment after work, so my husband cooked while I was out. Tonight we're going out and Thursday is my birthday so we'll probably go out again. I'm not complaining.
