Chuck leaned back on his seat, stretching his back and grabbing his cup of coffee, the other hand on the Fast Forward button.

The images in front of him passed twice as quick and double the boring. They normally didn't do such expansive viewing of the security tapes, but it was protocol after any sort of foothold situation in Atlantis, just in case the bad guys had done something to the city everyone had missed... however short or long the invasion had been.

This one was ridiculous, of course. The whole commotion had lasted about two hours, and only because they had managed to grab a passing Dr. Brown as hostage. Shortest invasion to Atlantis since... ever, probably.

It'd been so short some people had totally missed it. By the time someone activate the klaxon all over the city, Lorne managed to sneak in and shoot the leader of the small Genii army in the head, effectively liberating Dr. Brown and leaving the Genii absolutely lost as to how to proceed.

What was most curious about it all was that Col. Sheppard and Dr. McKay had missed the attempted invasion. Completely. No clue about it at all. Sheppard. And McKay. The ones who regularly saved the day, killed 60 people, managed to arm-

Chuck sat upright, hitting reverse on the keyboard before him and then hitting play again.

The video showed one of the storage rooms, all full of boxes and cloth-covered things shaped at odd angles, a table or two here and there, chairs, old mattresses and torn blankets, even a television off in a corner.

The video, muted by Chuck himself about an hour ago, showed Sheppard and McKay entering the storage room. McKay was in a huff, Sheppard was angry.

Sheppard and McKay had said they had been off ‘deep into the city’ when the Genii thing had started.

The storage room the video showed was directly beneath Gate Control. Chuck tapped his radio. "Colonel Carter... you might want to see this..." he said.

"I'm on my way, Chuck," came Carter's voice over the radio.

By the time she arrived - which was freakishly, unfortunately soon - Chuck was very very sorry he had called her.

"Hey," she said, startling him as she entered the lab that had been turned into the A/V room. "Found something?" she said, looking like she wanted to sleep and not receive any more problems.

Chuck was very glad he still had the video in mute. He really hoped Carter didn't ask for his chair because, oh standing up was not an option now.

Not if he didn't want to make an embarrassment of himself, of course.

"Chuck?" asked Carter, frowning, standing on the other side of the monitor. "Are you okay?"

"I might have -" he swallowed. "Might have called you too soon."

Carter's face relaxed... and Chuck saw as she moved to see what was on the monitor. "Oh? Why's th- Holy shit!"

On any other moment, Chuck might have been surprised as Carter's expletive. Maybe he'd have chuckled.

Right now, he was just too busy trying not to worsen his hard-on as he looked at the video, where McKay was pounding into Sheppard as if the Armageddon was imminent.

Looked like fun.

"Um," said Carter, and that's as far as she went, her voice strangled, eyes glued to the screen.

Sheppard and McKay had started out at one of the tables, McKay bent over the table, Sheppard behind him, two sets of pants crumpled at their ankles. Sheppard had a hold of McKay from his hips, McKay was holding on the edge of the table. It was amazing that rickety old thing had resisted under them.

At some point between Chuck radioing and Carter arriving, they'd ended up over the old mattresses, Sheppard beneath McKay, legs over McKay's shoulders, his back arched and mouth opened in a permanent 'O'.

One of McKay's hands disappeared between the two of them. McKay increased his speed; Sheppard fisted his hands on the blankets beneath them.

Chuck really, really wanted to turn on the sound. He swallowed. He could do that once Carter was gone.

Chuck found his voice. He mentally patted himself in the back for such a feat. "Should I...?" he said, not knowing if to finish the phrase with 'stop it' or 'mail it to everyone in Atlantis'.

"Yeah," nodded Carter, voice somehow more strangled than before, eyes still glued to the screen. She blinked then, apparently realizing she had agreed to something she wasn't quite sure what was. "I mean, delete it. This doesn't leave the room."

Chuck nodded, hands hovering over the keys. He hadn't looked at Carter once since she had entered the room.

She started leaving, stopping a few feet from the door. "Um, Chuck..."

Chuck nodded curtly. "I will be deleting it, m'am," he said as he attached the video into an email going to his address and Carter's.

Carter tried to suppress a smile. She failed, mostly. "Good. Do that." She pointed towards the door. "I'm gonna -"

Chuck nodded. "Sure. Goodnight."

Carter left, making the action look about as difficult as voluntarily kissing a wraith. Chuck hit send on the email.

He reversed the video and hit play again. Thank the ancients for soundproofed walls.
