Time Zones!

I have safely arrived in America despite the best efforts of the most disconcerting turbulence I've experienced yet. Otherwise, JAL is a perfectly nice airline to fly. I wonder what movies and meals they'll have on my return flight.

I first spent a bit of happy time in Austin with the girlfriend and friends, which was nice. Now I am in the Houston area to spend time with family and non-Austin-residing friends. One problem: I don't seem to have my driver's license. I thought it was in my luggage, but it is not. Perhaps I'd left it in my old room, but I don't see it there. I guess I'll have to get a new one while I'm here, but I need a way to get to the DPS, and this little town doesn't have public transportation. I'd really like to drive legally; it'd help with the hanging out and last-minute Christmas shopping.

Plus, I'm really going to need that driver's license if I'm going to be driving around Los Angeles for my job.

Anyway, this holiday looks to be relaxing. I have to remember to play (SECRET GAME TITLE HERE) for work, but that doesn't seem like a bad thing. Happy holidays.
