It's Cold

Winter seems to have come to Japan before Autumn could even show its face. My boss remarked that Japan's much-lauded 四季 has become 三季 this year.

I love my job. I hate it when I screw up though, and I hope I learn fast enough to do that less often. This past week, I feel like I could've done better on a few things. Ah well. I just hope they don't all hate me and decide not to give me a real contract once the three-month trial period ends.

But back to loving my job. One of my recent tasks is to play a game. That's right; I play a video game for work. To be honest, I feel a bit guilty about it. In any case, it still is work, and my main task is to gauge how long it takes to play through the game. I'm sure my measurement will be a little inaccurate for two reasons:

1) I'm not that good at this genre of game (genre withheld for confidential reasons)

2) I'm not that fast at reading Japanese

D'oh. In any case, the game is fun enough, and the voice acting is of the kind of generally good quality one expects from a high budget deal.

I guess that's all I really have to say. Looking forward to the holidays, which I will be spending the greater part of in America. It's gonna be weird going to a country where no one speaks Japanese...

日本語, work
