We just moved into a new apartment in Hampstead, and the previous tennants left behind a whole bunch of furniture we don't want. Couches, tvs, kitchen table, etc.

Does anyone know if there is a charity that will come pick it up? It's not bad quality, we just already have our own furniture.

i have a ton of old (circa 1970s and stuff) school text books. varying subjects. we have no idea what to do with them/where to get rid of them. i feel bad just tossing them in the recycling bin.

know where i can unload them?

eta: we have books on geography, history, religion, psychology, some science and more.

I know of this because my school sent out a massive notice to everyone, but I haven't heard of it in the news (not that I've been keeping up to date..) - in any case, I thought it would be proper to post this (if not I'm terribly sorry).

A quick intro - I started a nonprofit called The S.W.A.P. Team in June 2009 to encourage the exchange of clothing as a means of combatting overconsumption. Since we started, we have exchanged over 12,000 pieces of clothing, and have donated over half of that  to local charities.
