oil heat
Our apartment has an oil furnace. The last tenants never used the heating-- just insulated the windows and used space heaters-- and the tank is empty. When we contacted the landlord about it, he told us that refilling the tank is our responsibility. I know that in B.C.oil is the landlord's responsibility, but I can't find anything in Quebec. Does anyone know what the legislation is on this?
Also, if we're filling it ourselves, any idea how much oil we'll need for the winter? We're not sure if we're staying next year, so we don't want to put more oil than we need in the furnace.
