For some reason this evening, Internal DJ decided to start playing Liz Phair: "Extraordinary." I like the song and I went to go find it on YouTube and play it. I used to love hearing it on the radio, when I still listened to the radio. It's funny, I go get videos on YouTube as the go-to, instead of looking them up on Spotify. I suppose it may have

I went to see a movie last night called "The Age of Adeline." It's kind of a science-fantasy movie about a woman who was born in 1908 and stopped aging sometime around the time she was thirty. She meets a man in the modern day and their relationship is seemingly doomed by the problem that she doesn't age and cannot tell anyone about it. It was

It's still warm. I'm still running the air conditioner at this date. That's not really all that surprising. There's been a heaviness in the air this weekend that seems to portend rain. Jackie posted something on line saying that she had heard thunder up in Sacramento. Friday I saw sprinkles land on my windshield crossing the Dublin Grade. I saw a

It's been a fairly cool spring so far. Where is all of that supposed global warming? I'm not complaining though, for what it's worth. I'm happy enough not enduring a heat wave especially before I get the air conditioning installed in the house.
I just finished my laundry and watching a movie. The movie was Something's Gotta Give. I just watched Jack Nicholson getting it on with Diane Keaton...and I thought it was hot. Ack! Kill. me. now. Please. I mean, there was that moment of shock when Nicholson walks in on her when she's parading around in the buff, and I was shocked too...eeek

I just watched "As Good As It Gets" for the second time in two days. I've been told by several people that the movie is good and that I would like it. Surprise, I do. Melvin Udall is the Devil. He is the milk of human kindness, flowing from a font of chaos and discord. That movie is so crazy, but I like it, and I'm not exactly sure why.

It has rained Wednesday and Thursday. Fortunately, neither has been a good all day winter rain. It was afternoon on Wednesday when the first rain hit. It didn't come down very hard. Sergei looked out the window and noticed it, and informed us that the season had changed. Four of us went out into the parking lot to get a taste of Fall. It has

The weather has been really wacky lately. The past four days there have been a string of cold fronts rolling through Northern California. It's been dumping rain and then the sun comes out. The days and nights have been really cool. Sheesh. I'm almost tempted to call it "winter." Today around 11:00 the sky opened up and dumped a torrent of

Truth decays into beauty, while beauty soon becomes merely charm. Charm ends up as strangeness, and even that doesn't last, but up and down are forever. -- The Laws of Physics When I think of those east end lights, muggy nights

I got another box of DVD movies from my parents recently. I just finished watching "Unfaithful." That was one twisted picture. There was some pretty steamy sex in there. I love it when a woman gets all quivery and squirmy like that. What a power trip, to make someone do that. It's so profoundly gratifying to see a woman go nutz on what you'
