Presidential Suite, the Arms Hotel, Wednesday evening

The hotel staff had been busy. While their boss was alone at the front desk during the day, they set up a surprise dinner party in the presidential suite. Guests had been surreptitiously whisked upstairs while one of the maids kept Mary distracted with a laundry crisis towards the end of her shift.

Mary had planned a lot of parties before, but this one might stick out as the best party she never planned.
