hi :) i have been lucky to find your LJ through the friends list in rockinhorseman's LJ (who is a friend of my LJ-friend padiwack, and whose LJ i will be very happy to add to my friends list right after i leave this "hi" comment in your LJ :)

my name is Marianna :) i am ethnically Russian, was born in Kazakhstan (feel free to ask questions :), and have lived in Toronto, Canada since July 2003 (love the city, suffer the climate in winter :).

I've worked as an English-Russian interpreter before coming to Canada, hence my English :) (i am prone to making typos both in English and Russian (having linguistics degree in Russian and English does not help :)), which only makes me admire those people whose written language is so beautiful as yours :)

my LJ is mostly in Russian, sorry, but i try not to talk too much there, I mostly post photos or videos I love and try to share something that would make my friends to smile and feel happier :)

Thank you for translating the poem. The translator I used kept using the word man in place of soul and it did sound odd:)

oh yes, those on-line translators. they translate everything literally word by word, and it is only unfair to laugh at the program ( ... )
