history wraiths pilots rebels cast

united mars federation... After the Second Coming, a terrible natural catastrophe that began to rumble the Earth, humanity was sent to Mars for safety reasons given how unstable home was becoming time with all the changes - hurricanes, blizzards after dry seasons, eruption of dormant volcanoes, too hot, too cold, it was as if nature itself was purging humans out. Impossible to carry on with human life on Earht, many had to endure for years the terrible climate while the military, scientist and activists cleaned up Mars so it was prepared to harbour human life.

After the cleaning was complete, life began anew and Earth was slowly forgotten. Over the centuries to come, areas such as science, robotics and others began to suffer changes, improvements and new discoveries. The military focused on preventing another nuclear war from happening (the First Coming from Earth).

Years went by and soon science needed volunteers to experiment with Mars organisms and others and so soldiers ended up volunteering to become part machines (later called cyborgs), becoming part of the massively improved machinery: biomachines. The military began making deals with prisoners on the death row to become cyborgs, instructing them as they saw fit, made to never disobeying their orders. Should one unit fight against the law and orders the military imposed upon them, the entire series would be discontinued and destroyed.

It took centuries for humans to understand that they were not alone. Mars was populated by organisms with the ability to shrink and turn invisible and as human life came in contact with them, they slowly began to become visible and giants. These aliens - called wraiths by humans - were not happy with the invasion and so began to rebel against them. But humans, as the very adaptable beings they are, fought back with their biomachines and their wits and soon discovered that some of these giants were much like machines - and like any machines, they could be piloted. But not by everyone, for only a couple of people were able synchronize with them, thus creating a new form of fighting back against the giants.

enemy intel... There are various type of Martian life form, but none as exotic and dangerous as the Wraiths. They come in various forms, though there are some that are more common and others that are rarer. The Eidolons, Leviathans and Odins are the species so far that are known to be able to be piloted by synchronizing a human inside of them. Ogres, Colossus, Behemoths, Titans, Mammoths and Goliaths are the species that are unsynchronizable, which means they are a danger to human society and seem to have quite a liking for destruction.

Because Wraiths is such a injurious name, piloted Wraiths are addressed as Dragons, since it empowers them a little to receive the name of such honourable beast. A Dragon gone rogue is instead called a Wyvern - though such occurance has happened a couple of times, the military silences such rumours. However, there is a story of one Wyvern that still soars the skies...

DRAGONS
EIDOLON
While balanced, it is more inclined to be used as an attack weapon due to its speed and powerful strike. However, because of this speed, handling one is difficult as it can become unstable very fast. It cannot endure as many hits as the other Dragons, but its speed seems to help the pilot to almost foreshadow his opponents moves. Still, it is a rebellious model and there aren't many willing to bend to its will.

LEVIATHAN
Possibly the most defensive type of Dragon, it is able to endure more hits than any other known type. The synchronization levels are good, but the attack power is not as destructive as its counterparts. Although it recovers fast, it is a bit of a slow model, unless the synchronization levels are maxed out, in which the movements flow gracefully and with little to no glitches, as its hard to infect a Leviathan. It's to most common type of Dragons, as they seem to be far more domesticated than the rest.

ODIN
Only three of these Dragons are registered as captive and only one is currently operational, Killock's. The synchronization levels are off-putting because of how hard it is to achieve one, but the destructive power it has is simply awe-inspiring. It's said that a level 20 Odin could wipe out an entire aerie (as the nests of Wraiths are called) with one single blow.

WRAITHS
KING FENRIR
The first Wraith, he has only been sighted once after his début. It is said to be the king of Wraiths and everyone clamps their hands over their ears when the name "Fenrir" is spoken as it is said to bring bad luck.

synchronizing... To pilot a Dragon, one must have the capacity to synchronize with it. Of course, once the military learnt of this, they rolled up their sleeves and set themselves to work on both finding, recruiting and training these few people able to do so. So that they could study and monitor these people closely, a series of tests were run and they are still learning about the Dragons and the pilots. The younger the pilot is, the better, which is why their identities tend to be top secret - which is rather hard as all pilots have to undergo severe surgery to install an ORB (Organic Rechargeable Battery) inside of them so that they can operate the Dragon outside facilities. The ORB makes these pilots extremely dependable of a type of energy scientists have baptised as

Pilots are forced to install a port at the base of their neck so that they can connect the HEARTWIRE of the giant to them - which is exactly what it sounds like. The heart of the Wraiths is also their brain and it's in the shape of a wire - in the case of the Dragons, at least. This allows the monitoring team assigned to each pilot to check their vitals and the synchronizing level, which is said to be able to reach level twenty. This level is important since it allows the pilot to have more control over the Dragon.

To kill a Wraith, you have to deactivate the HEARTWIRE and it will automatically expose the second heart, which can be in any location - head, foot, leg, you name it - protected by a powerful metallic structure. Dragons have an advantage over Wraiths because the military has built armours for them, hiding their rather haunting appearance from civilians which seem to often forget Dragons are Wraiths. These armours are called AEGIS and are incorporated with a weapon most adequate for the Dragon type.

system database... DISC: SIX (Directive Intelligent Surrogate Combatant: Soldier Ixion Ten), a beta cyborg of the CSU-51 series, was one of the disposed biomachines. She was able to destroy part of the directive chip inside of her brain by shooting the place in her head where it was and spent years running from the military. Years have passed since she was last seen, but she was not destroyed. She simply disappeared from the radar, soon to return as a Renegade.

When she returned, SIX was not pleased with the situation regarding the giants, but she was even more displeased with the fact that biomachines were still being made and, on top of that, the pilots were not always so willing to become part of the military, just like the unwilling people that became cyborgs.

She met Camille Kirouac, a daughter of French immigrants who lived in Sector Eight. Cam proved herself to be a little genius when it came to building and rebuilding and tinkering with robotic equipment - and a massive talent to get into trouble all the time.
