Holy Improvement Batman THE REVENGE
I'm... kind of amazed the same person drew the following images.
Wow. My art has evolved a lot since 2007.
But yeah, I was thinking "Man, when was the last time I finished a piece of Spyro fan art?" AND THEN I REMEMBERED. I can't believe it's been that long!
I like the comparison between these two drawings, especially because they're both "fun" doodle-type-things. Neither was drawn to be a masterpiece, and they probably both took about the same amount of time. But it just shows like, how much more confident my drawings are, and how much better I am with digital media. Not to mention just how much my style has changed. And, despite the fact that the newer drawing is toonier, I think it actually demonstrates a better understanding of structure and anatomy, hahah!
ANYWAY, I think I'd like to do a more direct re-hash of an old drawing... and DEFINITELY nothing else from 2007, as I do think that was my weakest year when it comes to art. I want something probably more around 2004/2005, when I had a lot of ideas and was very expressive and experimental. I also ONLY drew my own characters, and that's something I really miss about my old art. So... uh... yeah [/ramble]
I'm pretty sure I wanna do a new version of this. Despite being old as dirt and flawed in a multitude of ways, I'm still rather fond of it and I don't know why.
