Thanks to everyone providing condolences yesterday about our dog Lucy. It was a very tough thing to go through, but it was peaceful through and through; The kind of calm that is present when you know the right thing has been done.

I feel very sick. My mother just instant-messaged me to say we have to put Lucy our English bulldog down today at 5:30 PM. She's the last of the family of four dogs I grew up around. Why must every dog have had to be put down rather than simply dying peacefully? Taking them to that vet's room and holding them while they die is traumatic. Besides my ( Read more... )
