So within the next few days I will hear a definitive word on my Bald Knobbers documentary premiere date. Yesterday I spoke with Shawnee's assistant, who had just seen the film and was very enthusiastic about it. He said Shawnee will be back in town on Monday, and they'll get back to me then about the scheduling.
Within a few more days 2 out of the 3 shorts on did on commission last October will be finished being edited.
And within a week or so my feature film will be available for purchase on Amazon.com as well as some other places.
Getting all this stuff out of the way leaves me more time to devote to the new Loads of Dames movie.
But what I really want to do soon is have another marathon. I had one over the break with Michael, watching the Masters of Horror 1-6 back to back with no distractions. I've been toying with the idea of finally being able to see all six Star Wars films back to back since the Episode III DVD came out last Halloween. Granted they will all come out again theatrically in the next few years, in 3D no less. But I'm not holding my breath on any cinemas doing their own run of the whole saga anytime soon. But if I do it, I'll have to turn it into a big ordeal. Maybe I could get a screening room somewhere, and have food brought in.
Tonight I'm going to see a free special screening of F. W. Murnau's Sunrise (1927) here in Stillwater. From what I've seen of it in the past in film history courses, I'm stoked. I love Murnau. His Last Laugh (1924) and Nosferatu (1922) are amongst the best films ever.
