Oklahoma gang, add these dates to your calendar accordingly:
This Friday the 30th: The premiere of the Serenity movie. I'm not sure who's interested in seeing this besides _the_antihero and myself. But nonetheless that's what I'm doing early Friday night, followed by the usual whatever else until 5:00 or 6:00 AM the next morning.
Sat. Oct. 1st: The Tulsa State Fair! One caravan of us departs earlier in the afternoon. Then the rest of us departs as soon as possible in the later afternoon (after Lawpeeps and detonate_for_me are out of the game).
We may go to the Broken Arrow corn maze as well, depending upon what I hear back from the Ponca City people via e-mail. If we don't make it to one this night, we'll pick it up after Octoberfest later in the month!
Fri. the 21st: looking_askance's birthday party!
Sat. the 22nd: Octoberfest and Haunted House (probably The Castle), and Broken Arrow corn maze if no luck with the Ponca one being open!
Fri. the 28th: anarkistsdream's birthday/Halloween party!
Sat. the 29th and Sunday the 30th: 2nd Annual Horror Movie Marathon in the Woods! This one will be 36 hrs. of the macabre. Bring/arrange a tent! From noon Sat.-6:00 PM Sunday evening. And Sunday is the end of Daylight Savings Time, so technically it'll end at 7:00 PM. But its come-and-go, watch or do other crazy things. The point is to have the atmosphere present and readily available!
This October will rock. It's also the month I finally see Dead Can Dance in Chicago, the Godfather game comes out, my sister AND brother, mother-in-law, AND brother-in-law's birthdays all fall then, plus Exorcist: Dominion finally gets DVD release. Woo-hoo!
