Concerning Werewolves

No the above still isn't from my film (shooting next week), but it's none other than Benecio Del Toro, in an old-school publicity photo for the upcoming The Wolf Man remake!

Says the director, Mark Romanek, "Rick could tell immediately that Benicio was a sincere fan of the Lon Chaney Jr. original. Rick is such a Wolfman fan, he admitted that he's only campaigned for two films in his entire career. One was "Ed Wood" and the other is this project." - aintitcoolnews.com

I've been head-over-heels excited about this remake for the past year; Nov. 14th 2008 is too far away! But in the meantime, I've got my own werewolf film on tap. The above picture is just what I needed right now to give me more inspiration, because old-school's the direction I've headed with this.

Aside from seeing the 3:10 to Yuma remake on Friday night (Best Western of the past 14 years!), all I did all weekend was nothing BUT schedule the production and talk to new actors. Yesterday alone I sat from 12:00 PM until 9:30 PM before finishing. But everything's looking so good! EVERYTHING is falling into place, better than one could suspect.

Tonight I begin teaching my Introduction to Film course, "Movies as Art". I hope it goes well.
