Out of Touch

I hate it when college writers are able to write printed reviews without a proper background. The entertainment writer for the OSU paper trashes today's Black Snake Moan, despite the fact that its sitting at a 7.2/10 on the imdb. Just from reading the opening paragraphs of this review its clear that he's missing the point, and instead basing his opinion on what another reviewer chose to say about the film. The Daily O'Collegian needs to move "reviews" like this to the Opinion page. I don't know about this writer's credibility, but it bothers me that its instantly turning off a population of 25,000+ people against something the author doesn't seem to know much about based on how he writes about it. I of course have yet to see it this weekend so I can't vouch for the level of quality myself, but I do know that the review reads very amateurish, which is sad for films that need money.
