I know OF Eels, but I don't know their music. Ditto for BRMC, although I kinda dislike them because "harold" liked them so much and they make me think of him. That's probably unfair.

there is a lot of stuff i don't listen to anymore (or often) because it reminds me too much of certain people. like soundtracks to that part of life.

Yep. Sometimes it's just too hard. There are things that give me nice memories of people...and things that make me feel kinda heartbroken.

I used to put those kinds of songs on mixed tapes and drive around in my van listening to them while making new memories of fun. That seemed to help. Change the association, you know?

i dont know any of those bands- well, except for the ones everyone would know, brmc, the eels etc- but i DO know that your new userpics are filling me with love.

I don't know Millie Jackson AT ALL. Am I totally out of the loop? What I hear from her website sounds cool, though.

How is it that I don't know Ashford & Simpson? I must hang my head in shame...what kind of music geek am I?

I suppose if there's no one else I want to see at that time...I'll have to see who The Smit is into seeing.

Last year, the lineup was so amazing. The Gossip! And other people that I got all excited about, but I wasn't there for the festival.

i'll be there saturday for Redd Kross...they've been around FOREVER and the junction is fu nand crowded and make sure to bring a hat and sunscreen and and and i live walking distance from there! can we see each other? eeee!!!

I'll be staying in Silver Lake for part of the trip...so we can go thrifting and also hang out at Sunset Junction!
