I know OF Eels, but I don't know their music. Ditto for BRMC, although I kinda dislike them because "harold" liked them so much and they make me think of him. That's probably unfair.

there is a lot of stuff i don't listen to anymore (or often) because it reminds me too much of certain people. like soundtracks to that part of life.

Yep. Sometimes it's just too hard. There are things that give me nice memories of people...and things that make me feel kinda heartbroken.

I used to put those kinds of songs on mixed tapes and drive around in my van listening to them while making new memories of fun. That seemed to help. Change the association, you know?

it's such a good idea to do that. reclaim songs you loved once upon a time, and renew the love for new. road trips are so fun. i miss driving!!
