Today, I am wearing:
- the black and pink skully slip on vans
- black knee-high Play Dead socks
- knee-length denim skirt of shame (i.e. from the g*p)
- black bikini briefs
- red bra
- pink Play Dead t-shirt with two undead grrrls on crutches kissing
- pink Play Dead hoodie

I should have dressed a wee bit warmer today, but whatevs. I'm wearing a skirt, suckas!

One of the board members gave me a box of Numi Golden Chai Spiced Black Assam Tea. So awesome! Hurrah! I made myself a cup of it and then poured in some milk only to find that my milk was GROSS and CLUMPY. Boo. The work fridge sucks and does not keep things cold enough. My new milk went into the freezer.

The tea, take 2, is delicious.

Saw a documentary last night called "The World According to Sesame Street". It was really great - the Sesame Workshop, as they're called, sends producers to countries around the world to try to develop local versions of Sesame Street. Rather than being American Sesame Street dubbed into the local languages (although there is some of that), they actually create new muppet characters and shoot live action footage of local kids at play, or doing stuff with their families. There was some stuff about the political and cultural challeges that they face - especially with the Kosovo production and the Bangladeshi production. But it was so cool to see...and so amazing to watch this television company that really just wants to help kids learn to read and write and count.

There's also a whole bit about Kami, the first HIV+ muppet. She's basically an HIV+ AIDS orphan, but American politicians and talk show hosts sure got their collective knickers in a twist about it. Fuck you, assholes. AIDS exisits and it affects children. Apparently they shut up when they realized the context of the character and found out that she was only meant to be used in South Africa.

I haven't seen Sesame Street in a long time...but it would be amazing, I think, if they incorporated some of the newer stuff from other productions into the American version. I wonder if they're doing that. I wonder if I can find any of the shows on DVD or online.

Now I really want to be a muppeteer.
