I'm honestly more familiar with Terry Pratchett's version of Death, but regardless such a crossover is interesting to see. I rather like Gilbert as someone who guides the dead to their fate down below; he seems like he'd be an interesting reaper of sorts, a mix of amiable, terrifying and laugh-in-your-face.

Gaiman's Death is admittedly different than Prachett's, but they most likely co-exist. Gil as a psychopomp is actually one of the more fun things that his character has going on - shame he only collects for Hell, and thus he's always a dick.
