almost there....

I keep meaning to sit down and write a post, but then I loose the motivation. So, here it goes!

I am almost 35 weeks along now! (as of Wed. I will be!)
My discomfort is growing by the day!
My groin is back to killing me, especially if I have to move my legs, at all!
I also now feel like there is an ice pick being shoved through my bladder and downwards. It is most uncomfortable and annoying. At times it has gotten so bad that i've had to stop walking, mid-step, to just deal with the pain. It's especially painful right after I go pee!
Speaking of pee, last night I had to wake up to go 6 times!!! SIX TIMES!!!
And each time I woke up, my legs were killing me! That's right, leg cramps have begun! It's mostly my hips, butt, and upper thighs, but it's awful and keeps me tossing and turning and awake almost all night long. I constantly have to shift which side I sleep on, and let me tell you, rolling over has never been so difficult! I feel soo heavy, and every movement hurts my groin, back, legs, and round ligament pain (yah...that's still going strong and painful too!)
My lower back has also begun to constantly ache, there's still a lot of pressure in my ribs, and the only relief I can find is in the hot shower or lying down!
I'm still getting a little dizzy in the shower, i'm better at not having the water so hot anymore though. But I feel all disoriented, like I have vertigo, when i'm in the shower, and whenever I face the wall, I feel like i'm going to fall over backwards. It's SO weird.
Another new feeling i'm having (and luckily this one doesn't hurt!), is up in my ribs, I occassionally feel this vibration, almost like there's a cell phone going off in my belly. lol Could this be what they call 'rib tickling'? Or is my body just weird?

Last week we had our ultrasound!!
We found out that, as of that day, the baby weighed about 5lbs 1oz! They also confirmed that she is a girl! :-D
I was also told that her head is in the lower right hand side of my uterus, her butt is in my upper left (below that side of my ribs), and her feet are in my upper right (also in the ribs.) No wonder i'm in so much pain!!
It was really cool to have them point out where her body parts are, because now, when I press on certain areas, I can tell that where her head and butt are, are harder and rounder than other parts of my belly that I press on. It's really neat.
Near the end of the ultrasound, the tech brought up a 3-D image, totally surprising us! It was sooooo cool!!!! This totally made my day and made me that much more anxious to meet our little girl!!!!

About 2 weeks ago we set up the nursery with all of the items we've gotten so far, and it's starting to look good! :)
I still have to wash all the clothes and linens though, and next weekend is our shower!
I'm super excited!
But, at the same time, i'm still having a lot of anxiety over it and am afraid that no one is going to come.
It's going to be a little weird, since I wrote my own guest list, because I'll know whose there and whose not...
I have to stop thinking like this though and trust that people love me enough to show up and celebrate this with me.
Unless i've turned everyone away this year...
Lately, i've just felt like I have no friends... :*(

But anyway....
As of today I cut my hours down at work from about 36 to 30. This is the minimum i'm allowed to work to keep my insurance benefits. So, my new schedual is 10-4:30. I'm really happy I don't have to work dinner anymore!! I did this schedual 2ce last week, and then today, and it feels really good to have those last 3 hours off. It's also nice to have a little bit of alone time for a change before Sarah and Jay get home.

Now for a random statement,
I LOVE CUPCAKES!!!
Thank-you Sarah for making them for me! :D

I think that's all I really have to report.
Nothing much else is going on.
Yesterday my sister Shauna turned 24, so I went to her house to visit, as did my parents, and they brought Dylan. Dylan is getting soo big and is soo adorable walking around! It was a riot to watch him play with Harley, their Yellow Lab. He kept crawling all over him, pulling his hair and tail, and Harley was SUCH a good sport. Especially for such a young dog!

As for pets, Sarah's kitten Malachi is a terror. He's so very rambunctious. He's adorable, but bounces off the walls and off of Dweezil. Also, when he comes to cuddle, he jumps on you all super cute and nestles in, purring VERY loudly, then starts to bite!!! WTF?!
Then there's Dweezil, who is slightly annoyed with the kitten, but at the same time I think he's glad to have another feline companion around. I think Dweezil is sensing that a big change is coming. When i'm home he follows me around, and he stares at me! It's as if he's trying to communicate something ... it's a little odd. So, i'm trying to give him as much attention as I can.

33 weeks pregnant, on March 20th

March 24th, 33 Weeks and 6 Days! This one is a profile view. I asked if what was on the left were her hands, the tech said they are feet! So, she MUST be all scrunched up in there!!

March 24th, 33 Weeks and 6 Days! This is the 3D picture they gave us!! I think it is AMAZING!!! I see a McLaughlin nose in there! My dad says he sees that and Jay's jaw line. :P
My brother-in-law said my sister Shauna said this pic weirded her out and made her want to puke. :*(
Everyone else thinks it's super awesome!

These are the nursery, so far!
