In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you didnot create. Drop a link to your post in the comments. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rarepairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes.Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to aparticular fandom and maybe aren't well known or appreciated. I have read so much fic that it was hard to pickjust three. I decided to pic from three different fandoms to show some variety. I picked these fics because they were fics that weren't traditionally my cup of tea so to speak, but they touched me somewhere special anyhow.
Citizens of Amity by thingswithwings
There are shows that I absolutely love, but for one reason of another have no interest in reading any of the fanfic like Community. I don't remember how I found this fic, but I am glad I did. The characterizations are spot on and even though the characters go out of their canon comfort zones, it still seems believable enough that it could see it happening on the show (if it wasn't on primetime tv).
Wings of Desire by elrhiarhodan
I never understood wingfic before I read this fic. I had no idea why one specific change in anatomy would be so popular, but the emotion of this fic really changed my mind about the whole trope.

When given the choice, I will always choose fluff over angst. I cry so easily when reading fic, it's almost embarrassing. When a fic has a self-harm trigger warning, I usually click back twice as fast. I am glad I took a chance with this fic because it really is beautiful.
