I haven't posted to Live Journal in ages. I've been using Facebook quite a bit, but still like LJ. I haven't abandoned you. I've been shooting sunsets from my terrace lately. It's pretty easy. At this point, I don't even have to go outside. I just open the terrace door and shoot. I shot the photo above last evening. As the days go by, the sun will set to the right (west) of where it's setting in this photo. Eventually, it will set behind the Manhattan skyline. The location is immediately recognizable. Here, if it weren't for the Empire State Building, one would never know the location of this photo.
It's cold in NYC today (also tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday). I can't wait for spring. I want warmer weather and green leaves on the trees. The light green of new leaves is a special delight. My cat, Tigr, will be 19 in March. She's pretty spry for an old lady cat. These days she wants as much attention as she can get. She loves lying on top of me when I'm on the couch or in bed. Today she meowed until I finally stretched out on the couch to read. She was on me in a flash, throwing her body across my stomach. Eventually, she moved to my legs, her favorite place, and went to sleep. She did not like it when I wanted to get up. Yes, she protested and was quite vocal about it. When I roll over onto my side to sleep, she makes her home (bed?) on my hip. I frequently wake up in the morning and find her there. She's old. I just want to keep her happy.
