So here's the stress in my life! hugfrty July 15 2009, 17:14:01 UTC
Well, I wish you the best with the dog!

I'm still in Lethbridge, of course. Jeff and I bought a house just over two years ago, which we love! We had a few other people living with us but we've since kicked them out to have the house to ourselves, haha. Even though they don't live here anymore they're practically here hanging out every day so I should just start changing them rent again :) My dad and brother lived out here for a couple of years but my dad couldn't find work so he moved back to Whitby and he's driving for the TTC now. It pays well, so with his pension from his engineering job with Bell and his TTC wages (since he's working almost 60 hours per week, a lot for an old guy!) he's raking in the big bucks again, lol. Alex went back to Sudbury to go to Laurentian to start on his second degree but he's going to move back to Lethbridge in a few years. Jeff and I have been together for almost four years now, which seems kinda crazy. Anyhoo, we're casually doing wedding planning and such. Actually, he's doing it, lol. We've been putting off coming to Toronto because we were saving for a down payment on the second house. The renter we have (Christie)...well.. haha, it's a brilliant situation. Basically, her husband, Brandon, a friend from my work, and she split up just under 2 months ago, hence why she's looking for a new place. She has two kids with Brandon, ages 13 months and 3 years. She left Brandon for his best friend, Gary, another one of my friends from work. She then left Gary for Brandon... But then she found out that in the VERY short time since she left her husband (it was about 1 month at this point) that she had gotten pregnant... with Gary's child. So now she has gone back to Gary. I swear, it's ridiculous. So she's 22, and is pregnant with her husband's best friend's child. Perhaps former best friend. It's actually hilarious. I call for Jerry Springer! Anyhoo, so she, Gary, and Brandon's two kids (and soon to be Gary's 1 kid) are moving in to our soon-to-be three bedroom second house. Whew, it's confusing. Despite the craziness, we're still happy to have them as renters because I'm friends with all of them and it's better to have them there than crackheads! But you should come visit us! We have a guest bedroom, you can stay for free, lol!

This is the new house: http://www.realtor.ca/propertyDetails.aspx?propertyId=8225896

They fucked up on the square footage... It's actually 1400, but the real estate agents are retarded. We live in the other half of the duplex, which you can sorta see in the picture. YAY!

As for the health problem: My uncle (the one with all the kids) was diagnosed a few weeks ago with Esophageal cancer. It's kinda scary because he just starting having trouble swallowing but he thought maybe it was strep throat and of course his appointment turned out a lot worse than he was expecting. The survival rates for his type of cancer are extremely low because it has few symptoms so it's difficult to detect until it has reached the later stages. His is advanced so he's decided to decline treatment because it's very debilitating and the specialist that he was seeing has told him that it's basically pointless, so he's decided to make the best of the time he has left. Unfortunately he's the breadwinner in the family. Veronica, his wife, hasn't worked in years and has just been raising the kids but Ken is going to need to leave work soon so my family is stressing because Ken and Veronica have a lot of debt and and almost no savings... And all of their kids are reaching university age with no education funds in place.

Holy moly... that's insane! (yeah I know reply super duper late) but that's alright... I'm still replying! haha
Yay for house number two, and sorry to hear about your uncle... will you be going to visit soon?
Hopefully the dates for the house will be figured out soon, and hopefully you can sort out the Jerry Springer episode lol 22... holy...
23 and 0 kids is fine with me (haha)
glad your dad's enjoying retirement/working so much with the ttc. lol (he always seemed the type to enjoy keeping busy)
how is work going for you? are you still at the same place we were talking about last time? (honestly I can't even remember the last time we talked hahaha...) I remember that person driving into your car after you had gotten it... but from what I can tell you now have a truck??? when did that happen?
You must make a lot of $$ out there to be able to afford everything you have been. lol (where can I get your job? lol)
I'm thinking of changing careers... the vet tech field isn't really making the 'big bucks'... (I think I would have to work there for another 10 years before I make decent money lol)
but yeah... dinner's ready, gotta go!
