The overcast weather is kind of screwing with my sense of time. Yesterday afternoon felt like 10 in the morning. lol.
I got an email from one of my lecturers at SCU and she said her and a few other women who are trying to put together an experimental women's writing anthology are interested in a piece I wrote in one of her classes last year. She suggested a few editorial changes that I'm pretty much ok with (I disagreed with a few, but nothing major). So I should hear back from her soon. I'm not sure if they've found funding for it yet (the last I heard they were still seeking a publisher, but that was at the end of second semester last year). It's pretty exciting. The good thing about it is that they don't imagine the anthology will printed until the end of this year, and I've sent that same piece to Wet Ink, so on the off (unlikely) chance I get into both it wont matter, because in the proposal for the anthology it says that it's ok if the piece has been published in journals/magazines before. Just not book-based anthologies. So...fingers crossed.
