I've been sick for 2.5 days. I took yesterday off work, which was smart, but I should have taken today off too. Even standing up exhausts me.

I stepped on the scale this morning, and I've officially lost 5 pounds this month. Slow and steady wins the race.

Despite having a massive headache today--all day--I'm feeling awesome. Mainly because I'm down 2lbs this week, even despite all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet dinner on Thursday night and Brazilian steakhouse (read: all-you-can-eat AGAIN). I had an awesome weekend. Friday started out very early; I had to be up at 5:30am in order for Barb and I to be on the road at 7:00am for a 9:30 meeting in London. I biked! I gymmed! And I earned the heck out of this veggie burrito bowl (no sour cream, of course) from Chipotle. I changed it up by adding the fajita veggies (sauteed onions and green peppers) to it, and MAN OH MAN! I had no idea what I was missing.

The manfella and I went out for Thai food and trivia last night, and feasted on a hot plate of beef with tonnes of veggies. I skipped the rice, but was so completely full of broccoli and carrots and peppers and mushrooms that I didn't even miss it. Nothing makes you feel more like you have arrived as an adult than hiring movers. They are pricey, for sure, but the peace of mind you get is totally worth it. 1. Nothing says "Hello Monday!" like an invasive physical exam!
2. Fitness assessment at the gym today: down 4 lbs. of fat and up 7 lbs. of muscle. I'm not losing weight, but I'm certainly getting fit!
