Title: Changes: Chap.12: Driving Home Pt 1
Author: Wolf
Genre: General (There's touches on Angst I suppose. But I dunno. You tell me)
Rating: PG-13 to be safe. Maybe a little higher or lower depending on the chapter.
Warnings for this chapter: None that I can think of.
Summery: The boys' pasts. And getting to meet each other

Firstly... I think I put the wrong chapter number for the last one. But it doesn't matter

One:((Has anyone noticed that the tone of Micky's voice has gotten higher pitched over the years? Mike's to... (In fact... Mike's tone has drastically heightened... Micky's is much more subtle. Davy and Peter sound about the same, save for the average change aging does. ))

Two: --I've decided something. Baby Face wants that one story I said I may write so I'm gonna have to do that... But I can't get inside Baby Face's head that well.. I tried an experimental piece and it's not working out.
I think it's cause I'm not used to him. I mean... with RPing I am completely in my characters minds. I've had years of practice with Jack Sparrow cause I"m been RPing him since '06... With Fang my cousin and I were playing the game for YEARS so I've probably developed her better then anything. With my RP character David Turner I had to at least write a back story so could get an idea about him. But even he's still developing.
With the Monkees themselves I've been in the fandom ever since I had a computer to do so. So with all that I've read and whatnot and how long I've liked them I already had been able to conceive an idea of them a long time ago.

But I've only recently started liking Baby Face... and there's not many stories about him. The two that I've read build him... yes... but that doesn't help much in the way I need it to.

SO... I need you guys to give me short and simple prompts. I might work on a couple (might or might not post) Just so I can break the character in and learn more about him.

Can y'll do that? Simple and pertaining to Baby Face. (So not like... frolicking in the woods with naked nymphs... that would not be very good lol) Past present or future about him. Whatever.--

Neither Mike nor Micky could wipe the grins off their faces as they sped down the streets back to the pad. Though Micky stayed within the speed limit the car seemed much faster. It was probably because of their excitement but neither of them cared.

It was only about five minutes from the car shop and the pad. So in much shorter time span then either of them liked they were in the neighborhood. The beach houses were a little further down but they were close. As Micky pulled up to a stop sign something caught Mike’s eye, “Hold on Mick… turn right.” Micky glanced at Mike questioningly. This wasn’t their turn off yet. But at the look Mike gave him he sighed and turned.

Once on the block Micky could see exactly what caught Mike’s eye… A garage sale. A large grin spread across the young drummers face. He loved garage sales. Immediately he parked as close as he could get and they both got out. As the two browsed they each saw some pretty groovy things but nothing very useful. Micky found some interesting bedding. Four sets in fact and two looked like they were supposed to make the bed look like a car (one looked like a normal bedding set and Micky couldn’t tell about the other one.) Best thing was they were unopened. Micky couldn’t pass then up, of course, and though Mike tried to hide it, he had his eye one them anyway.

As they headed for the place to pay Mike saw something underneath a pile of boxes. “Hey Micky, look at that.” He pointed to what had caught his eye. It was a psychiatrist styled couch.

Micky grinned, “That’s really groovy man… I wonder how much it is.” Mike glanced around then walked up to the woman who was taking the money. “Um.. miss… I was wondering how much that couch there costs.” He pointed over to the couch in question. “Also if there were any flaws in it.”

The woman glanced over and nodded. “Oh that. No it doesn’t have anything wrong with it. It’s new actually. My cousin gave it to us. We’ve only had it out for about a week. But we’re moving and don’t want to try taking it with. So it’s only twenty dollars.” She glanced over at Micky as he came over and stood next to Mike. “And if you do get the couch then I’ll make those down to five dollars for the lot.”

Mike’s eyes widened, not quite believing what he was hearing, his accent a little stronger by accident. “Are yew tellin’ me that for twenty five dollars we get four unopened sets of bedding and a new couch?” The woman nodded. “Yea… like I said we’re moving soon. We need to get rid of these things or they’ll be tossed in the garbage.”

Mike and Micky looked over to each other, then back to the woman. In union they gave her an answer. “We’ll take it.” They quickly glanced back to each other, amused that they had said the same thing at the same time.

The woman chuckled a bit and nodded. Mike started handing over the required sum of money when Micky slapped his hand away and thrust his own twenty five dollars into the woman’s hands. The Texan glared at Micky, annoyed. “Hey. Why’d you do that?” Micky shrugged and turned to start loading the car.

By the time he tossed the bedding sets into the back of the Monkee Mobile and got the top down the couch was cleared off. He and Mike carefully loading it into the couch and tired it down with some rope. Micky would have to drive carefully but it wasn’t a far drive.

So with the new couch and bedding in tow… the two Monkees made their way back to the pad.
