It’s only 3 pm and I’m ready to go home. Even though I came in at 11 am, I’m very tired because I had to bring Boq to the vet this morning that ended up taking freak’n forever! Apparently today was the “let’s board our dogs for the holiday” day so it was very noisy and crowded. We finally got in to see the doctor, though, and it turns out Boq has kitty Herpes in his eye :( Because he has a virus the doctor said it will never be cured and it’ll keep recurring. Then he stuck something in Boq’s eye to make the infection turn green under a black light, which was way cool, but we found out that he has an ulcerated eyeball! The poor thing :( We think he doesn’t have a problem seeing, though, so his eye is just going to be puffy and swollen for a while. He sent me home with Clavamox and more aggressive eye drops than what he was on before. We’re supposed to give him the drops 3x daily and my boss joked that I’ll have to bring him to work with me. We can barely remember to do it twice a day! I just hope he gets better soon.

I still have way too much to do for the Thanksgiving break. Tomorrow my parents are driving down from Vegas to have a pre-Thanksgiving meal of lasagna, along with Melanie & Brian and Mike’s sister and brother-in-law. I’m hoping to be outta work by noon tomorrow to finish my errands. I was going to go to TJ’s tomorrow to pickup the remainder of the groceries, but I still don’t know how my schedule is looking so I may have to do another quick Von’s run. I’m also going to make my apple pie tomorrow, so anything I can get done tonight would be a huge help. I have to run to Andrea’s place tonight to pick up some dishware for the lasagna and some serving trays. I also have to do a small load of laundry! Needless to say, I don’t want to host ever again! Well, at least not for a while J

My boss brought myself and my friend back a piece of flourless chocolate cake to share. It looks so fudgy and good! I had to put it in back of me so that I wouldn’t be staring at it all afternoon. We decided to save it until 5:00 when we normally have our chocolate break.

I so don’t want to be here today, and to be honest, I don’t want to come in tomorrow, either. I hope they don’t expect me to do too much work! I guess the building is closing at 3, but Karen said she’s hoping to be outta here by noon at the latest. She’s hosting a Turduken Thanksgiving this year so I’m sure she has more things to do as well (although, her husband is a freelance artist so he may be able to get things done). She actually invited Josh and me over for dinner but this year we actually have guests! I said to my mother that that was another offer I never received from Warner Bros. Last year, Janie and friends talked about dinner right in front of me without an invitation. She knew that I had no plans! If you’re not going to invite me, at least have the decency to whisper. I’m starting to realize that my job at Warner Bros. did nothing more for me than get me in the door for interviews. My contacts weren’t very good, and those who did pass my resume along, submitted me for PA positions and nothing more. Thanks for the confidence, folks. Well, I showed all them, didn’t I? (Am I bitter? Apparently I am!)

Well, I guess that’s all she wrote. Hope all is well in LJ land. Ttfn.

P.S. I didn’t post my food because I weighed myself this morning (stupid) and I was very upset with the result. So, nobody else is allowed to see!
