This last week...
My grandma's funeral was last Saturday. Phil and I went to the funeral. It was bizarre. Not the service, but just seeing all the people there and thinking of my grammy in all of these different roles. She wasn't just my grandma, she was a mother, a sister, an aunt and a friend.
It was sad, we all cried so much. Hearing my aunt Sis squeak, "Bye Mom" when they closed the casket broke my heart. Watching my eight year old cousin Tyler close his eyes every time he had a view of our grandma was pretty gut wrenching too.
My sister had her baby this Saturday. She's so beautiful. I spent two and a half hours at the hospital with them. It's just crazy to think of my sister and brother-in-law as parents. Miran looked immediately comfortable with it. Eric looked just in love with Ava, but not too sure what to do with her. This will be his first time in his life spending any time with a child younger than four. So I'm sure there will be plenty of hilarious stories coming out of their house in the next few weeks.
