(no subject)
HI all.
Been a while since I posted so I figured I would say hi to any of my friends who happen to read this.
As you obviously know (since you have not seen me lately)I am still in Japan.
I have been here since mid February. At this point I expect to be here until November or so, then I will be coming home for Christmas and new years. It looks like the job I am on will last several years (not that I will last that long) but I will probably be coming back here after the new year for at least some time. After that I really need to find a job at home. I really need to spend time at home.
I like most of my co-workers, but some of the people that we have to work with and rely on for things are more than useless. We have to jump through so many hoops to get anything done that it almost doesn't seem worth it. There are like 3 different groups that are fighting over control of the network that we are working on and that just adds to the headaches we have. At this point there are meetings going on in the building constantly so we loose all kinds of work time sitting around doing nothing... useful.
Weather wise it is quite like home here now, really warm and humid, rains alot. No typhoons yet, but I expect them.
Some of us have started playing tennis or golf sometimes which is nice cause it gets us out of our love hotel and into the sun. For those of you who don't know, a love hotel is hotel here that you can rent by the hour. They are popular here since alot of "traditional" families share one big bedroom and the kids, or even parents need some private time now and then. Anyway.... it can make for interesting noises.
I have lost the will to type, so I will try to write more later.
