Comparing Notes

Eiji grinned as he dumped the pile of carbon copies onto his desk. Equipped with these, there was no way he could not score the Geography test tomorrow!
While Eiji's own notes were expressive and informative, they often had holes an entire section big when Eiji was distracted in class, so they were not exactly reliable. No, it was better to use the notes of more attentive schoolmates. And to not hinder the others' studying, Eiji had even gone to the trouble of photocopying the notes instead of simply borrowing them for the night. (Also because Eiji did not think they would lend their notes out the night before such an important test, nya!)
First were Taka-san's notes. They were quite plain really, and a bit on the brief side - Eiji liked his own notes better. Taka-san's notes did give a solid frame to the syllabus, though, and Eiji grasped a good idea of the parts he had missed himself as he browsed through them.
Next were Fuji's. Eiji groaned as soon as he took a closer look at the pages - Fuji's notes were so sketchy! All the diagrams were more abstract lines than a coherent picture, and the annotations were extremely succinct. Like, what was the word "ring" supposed to mean when pointed to what looked like a fence in the chapter of rainforest? Eiji was sure it had some significant meaning, but for the life of him he could not figure it out. Fuji's texts too, were full of cryptic abbreviations. Eiji decided that deciphering could wait till another time; right now he had a test to study for.
Eiji flipped through Tezuka's notes apprehensively, he was certain they had not covered this much material. How on earth could Tezuka fill three pages when the textbook only had a small paragraph? Although reforestation can help preserve tropical rainforest, some studies suggest that... Since when did they have to know the pros and cons of the solutions to deforestation? Eiji guessed Tezuka's notes would be an educational read, but it was getting late, and he did not need this many details for the test tomorrow anyway.
Inui's notes looked scary. The pages were packed to the brim with tiny scribbles. Eiji did not think much of those were related to the subject, but still read to make sure. Marble comes from the metamorphism of limestone, which is composed of calcium carbonate CaCO3, of molecular weight 100.087g/mol... Nya, those would not be useful in the test. Eiji was starting to get disheartened; why could his teammates not write normal notes?
"Hoi, Oishi, you are my last hope."
Eiji took a deep breath, and dived in. A smile slowly appeared on his lips as he turned a page. Not only were Oishi's notes detailed, they were also clear, precise and went according to the Geography syllabus. It was exactly what Eiji wanted. Bless Oishi! It seemed the other half of the Golden Pair suited him best, after all.
Eiji glanced at the clock. It was just ten; he would make it fine indeed.
