So I went to see Spiderman 3...my thoughts after the cut...
Overall, it was terrible. There was too much going on. Yes it was two and a half hours long, but you had three villains, a love story, and social aspects. It easily could've been seperated out into two or more movies. The special effects and fight scenes did kick ass visually though.
My main problem, however, was the blatant disregard for previous canon. Yes, change it up a little for the movie, but this was rediculous. First of all, Gwen Stacey? Uh no, she was around when Peter Parker was off to school and MJ wasn't really in the picture. Secondly, they killed, killed Venom AND Harry Osbourne. Um excuse me? They killed both incarnations of the Green Goblin, Venom and Doctor Octopus between the three movies. Those are most of Spiderman's major adversaries. Talk about killing chances for a sequel. Though, Topher Grace did a better job than I'd have given him credit for. He was a bit skinny to be Eddie Brock though.
Overall the movie was really only worth seeing for the effects and the combat scenes. The plot was thin but cluttered and rushed. Hopefully they don't have any more sequels that will bastardize the series even further, blahhh.
