Thinking happy (and gay) thoughts.
It's been a stressful couple of weeks, so here's five things that made me happy today:
1. Giving in to my impulse to eat fish and chips for dinner.
2. The Ten and Martha poster I have up in my office, with Ten's bright red Chucks and his uber-phallic sonic screwdriver pointing right at me.
3. Season four of The O.C., which I now I have on DVD.
4. The first three chapters of His Majesty's Dragon. I'm already in love with Temeraire.
5. Today's Noah and Luke scene that began like this...
Noah: Actually, that's why I wanted to come back and talk to you. I want to be straight... (winces and laughs) I can't believe I just said that.
Luke: Well, it's the truth.
Noah: The truth? The truth is that I kissed you.
Luke: (snarky) I know. I was there.
Noah: And you're right, it wasn't a joke. I kissed you because I wanted to.
...and had a gorgeous component where Noah talked about Col Mayer not accepting a gay son and Luke trying to keep him from lying to himself and Maddie. I heart them so. I hate that it took so long for this story to get going, that it took a backseat to Cleo and Branson and a lot of the other random craziness on the show.
