Curing a demon?? Why can't curing Sam of his demon blood be enough? I totally squeed when Sam said he was being purified. I was guessing that. I can't wait to see this again. So much happened.

I did wonder if that was what they were referring too- if he'd be the "demon" they cured, but somehow I don't think that's it.

As long as Sam ends up with powers of some sort, I suppose I'll be appeased ; )

Sam with the Knights of the Round Table and Sir Galahad and he can't ever do a quest because he isn't pure OMG I almost cried.

That just broke my heart. Sometimes Show just flays your heart, you know?

Are they going to cure Abaddon?

It would be SO cool if they cured Crowley (because you know he wouldn't want it), but if they do any curing, most likely the recipient will be Abbadon, as they've already got possession of her.

I liked the ep a lot but still had the odd issue with it, possibly because last week was so darn awesome. *spoils easily*

I think you're right about Abaddon, but I do wonder how!

There was A LOT going on in this episode. I'm gonna have to watch it again, like, immediately to get it all straight. Great acting all around, though, dang!

I really liked everything but the farting donkey down the Grand Canyon bit. Way back in season two it's someplace Dean suggests they go after Croatoan because he's never been there. Normally I don't let stuff like that bother me but the rest of this episode was so stellar that that bit of WTF just took me out of it for a minute.

Other than that, I loved Metatron, though his rescue of Kevin came off as kind of archangely for someone who swore he was just one of the guys. Sam in the bathtub full of ice was made of win as was Kevin dealing with Crowley after he found out he was being played.

I can't wait for this trial, but what Metatron said to Dean about the price he was willing for the world to pay...I'm thinking he was talking more than just possibly losing Sam. No previews for me, but I can't wait for the next ep.

It does make me want to go revisit Croatoan, because I thought the same thing. But then I wondered if maybe he just meant they'd never been there together as adults.

Yes Metatron definitely had more power than he was letting on- maybe he got upgraded when he became the Metatron- I will have to rewatch!

Yes I think closing the gates will have serious consequences, like say...where do all the hell-bound souls go? Will they go to heaven, or Purgatory or just not be able to die?

Very curious.

Dean said something like "all the times I criss crossed the country and I've never been to the Grand Canyon", with the emphasis on "never". I may have watched that episode, "Hunted" I think, a few dozen times. I will have to rewatch it myself (oh, the hardship, I love crazy ass Gordon), just to be sure I'm not mis remembering.

Ooh, I hadn't thought of where the damned would go if hell was closed. Maybe it just works one way? You can get in but you can't get out? I can't wait to find out!

Metatron, FINALLY!!! I love the idea of the tallest / largest angel as a tiny, itchy sweater-wearing book nerd. <3

This episode gave me major Sam FEELS. And I was over the moon to see Biggerson's play an important role again. #Edlund, I love you :'D

Metatron was great (as much as I love Alan Rickman's portrayal!)
