Life’s askew
The family returned from vacation, and brought back Covid. Some guy on the plane ride out was hacking and coughing, but assured all around he had tested negative three times. Three days later my wife fell ill. A day following their return, my son, my sister-in-law, and my wife all tested positive. Five days after the return I also had caught this. Two of the family travelers have tested negative so far, but my son whom they visited picked up the virus as well.
I’m on day four of ‘isolation’ and can go back to work Wednesday, per the CDC. Fatigue, aches, cough, fever, dark dreams, depression, and low libido have characterized this journey. But at least I haven’t lost my sense of taste or smell…
I’m taking a little Tylenol for this, and staying hydrated. I can’t take the the paxlovid I was prescribed because of drug interactions (NP “Ask the pharmacist” Pharmacist “Ask your doctor” Manufacturer “No”). One day at a time.
