New Years Things!
So Yuletide reveals happened! I wrote two fics!
My main assignment is Equal Ground for
bridgetmkennitt, Claymore, Clare/Jean. My first time really writing explicit femslash! Which was fun, I actually offered Claymore in the hopes that I could write it and that is what I got. Takes place during the anime series which I watched for my recipient because I had only read the manga up to this point and it was a lot of fun.
I also picked up a pinch hit for the very first time! That fic is 5 Lives Kanzaki Hitomi Could Have Lived, and the One That She Actually Did for BluWacky, a look at how Hitomi's life could have gone if things had happened differently over the course of the series. It ends with Hitomi returning to Gaea post Graduation (AS IT SHOULD BE). This probably should have been a longer fic than it was but I only had like 2 days to work on it and so for that I am pretty proud of it.
I hope that both my recipients enjoyed their fics very much because I really enjoyed writing them! And also I want to thank
medie For my amazing Aliens fic which I will treasure forever.
Now for the other thing I made out some resolutions as inspired by
peri_peteia and
aquamirage
1. Get out of retail. (This is the big one)
I would love to land a paralegal or legal secretary job this year, but if that isn't possible I would at least like a steady office position that I can use as experience. Either way I would like to be out of my current job sometime in the beginning of the new year to something that both pays more and has more set schedule than what I am in now.
2. Be healthier - My goal is to eat more vegetables and fruit, and less fried, dairy and other fats. Also become more active. Mentally, I may possibly go to therapy but I would like to find a support group for ASD's this year.
3. Write more! My goal is to possibly break 100,000 words for the year over all sorts of projects. And get into some kind of rhythm with writing. As a subset of this, I would like to finish one multi-chaptered fanfic and one original short story this year. (And actually by finish I mean I want a full rough draft of both)
4. Read More! My goal is to at the very least finish one new book a month, whether it is fiction or nonfiction or whatever.
5. I would like to go on a date. I don't know that I want a relationship right now, but I would like to start dating and putting myself out there.
6. I would like to finish 5 new series whether they be US tv/anime/kdrama whatever this year.
7. I would like to start learning a new language this year (probably Spanish because I really need it down here, though I have gotten better at basically understanding what people are saying though it isn't true comprehension).
8. Replace my wardrobe. It can't happen all at once but I want start kind of developing some sense of fashion
