And what better way to make this place feel more like a home then to post a random meme on it:
1. The thing you loved the most this year? This was definitely the year of the kdrama for me, but in terms of things that made the most impact on me, I will say it would be City Hunter, the Alien Franchise, and Twelve Kingdoms
2. Thing that you gave up on? I broke up with TVD and Pretty Little Liars earlier in the year, and though I enjoyed a lot about series one, I just don't believe that Downton Abbey is ever going to be a thing with me.
3. Thing that you want more of/plan to continue? I really want more of The Hour. I mean I loved those 6 or 7 or whatever eps there were, and I just feel I need more to really sink my teeth into it.
4. A thing you liked but aren't in love with? Ummm Planetes and Arakawa Under the Bridge. I feel most of the anime I actually got to this year was stuff that I enjoyed but just didn't really get into.
5. Thing you still love even if it's not your biggest? I feel Escaflowne kind of finally started falling off for me, I feel slightly ok though because I had numerous Sailor Moon and Gundam Wing feelings over the year.
6. Biggest disappointment? I really wish V's second season had delivered a lot better ont he strength of the last few episodes of the first, I never expected it to get a third so I wasn't devastated from its cancellation, but I wanted it to be more of something that obviously the producers didn't want.
Also while I do feel I was a bit too harsh on Madoka when I first watching it (looking back I wish I had waited for the hype to die down before trying it), I think I will always wish for it to be more than what it was.
7. Thing you miss the most? I don't know that miss is the right word, but I really missed having a huge fandom event like the end of FMA this year. There was just a gap. Or maybe I just miss FMA something fierce. I plan to renew my FMA love when I finally get the final volume of the manga though.
8. Thing everyone talked about that you want to try? Everyone around me talks about Homestuck or Downton Abbey and I tried DA and Homestuck will just never be my thing. Hmmmmm, I think thanks to Mem and Viv, Flower Boy Ramyun Shop will happen as well as any other kdrama that Mem or Viv talked about enjoying.
9. Thing everyone talked about that you definitely won't try? I think the bar for Homestuck is just never going to happen for me. I tried to make comics work for me this year as well, but I am throwing the towel in on that one as well.
10. What thing you're still keeping up with right now? Parks and Rec, Young Justice are about the only ongoing things I keep track of. I really need to get caught up on Leverage.
11. What you're looking forward to in 2012? I don't know if Korra will happen this year, but aside from that I am most looking forward to Brave, that Snow White movie with Kristen Stewart, Prometheus, and the Olympics!
12. Anything else? Ummm not really, I was so incredibly happy to have gotten to meet so many amazing people this year both in person and online, that honestly for the first time in a while I can say that my fandom experience online was pretty much the best it has ever been since those first few days that I ventured into fandom back when I was 15, which I guess is a breakthrough. I really hope that 2012 is more of the same fandom wise.
And I feel that that is a pretty good summary of my year online, don't you think?
