(no subject)
The light in this dorm sucks. Once the sun comes up, my room gets really light, even though I have a Northern window. So when I attempt to sleep in in the morning, I fail. Even with the face mask, once I'm awake, I can't sleep for much more than an hour at a time, which means a light sleep. *sigh*
I did very little today in the way of productivity. Just a few odds and ends. Called my Dad, emailed some people, applied to a scholarship.
The four of us plus Philip went bowling at Tropicana--they have a special on Sunday nights. I did fairly well for me--104, 114, 131--well above my average. I'm satisfied.
Then we came back and played pool in Dauten. The stick didn't have a felt tip thingy, just plastic, so it was kinda difficult. We palyed Cutthroat, where each player is assigned three balls and you try to knock other players' out. I was doing well, but ended up being out second, putting me in fourth place. There were some great plays, though: one, I attempted to use my ball to knock out another but ended up only putting mine in; another, James shot at Jason's ball, the cue ball bounced off the opposite wall and knocked his (James) one in; last, Philip's and James' balls were both next to a corner pocket with Philip's closer to the hole, James miraculously "saves" his by hitting the cue ball inbetween them, but isn't able to get Philip's in.
Quotes: "I'm gonna hit the 8 ball in the ass." (Apparently all 8 balls have asses.) "Wow, Jason and Philip are really tied." (As if they can be more or less tied.)
