(no subject)
I have a roommate now. Her name is Terry, and she's a senior here at Wash U. She's living in the double next to my single.
It's kinda weird living with someone you didn't choose, who is two years older, and whom you are only going to be living with for 9 weeks.
And now it's weird to go from living by myself and being able to be as loud as I want and do what I want to being concerned about if I'm too loud or in her way.
She definitely talks a lot, but not necessarily to me. If she doesn't have a friend over (and talking while I'm trying to sleep) then she's on the phone. I'm not trying to be rude (she's nice and all), but sound does carry well in these suites, especially when there is a two-inch gap under my door. And her computer plays those annoying IM sounds. At least she doesn't talk online a lot.
On another note, cable is turning out to be well worth my money. I watch TV here much more than I did during school. I have much more "down" time.
And I still have free internet.
